Michael Keaton: Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

If I had to pick my favorite actors...well, I’d have a lot of them. But amongst the Tom Hanks and Greg Kinnears out there, one in particular holds a special place in my heart: MICHAEL KEATON. He was in super funny films such as: Mr. Mom & Multiplicity. Here he is sporting a very conservative line of argyle print.

Love you, Batman!

ARGYLE IN DA WORKPLACE

A friend and fellow creative department co-worker, Danny Bobbe, works in the video department (alongside another cool dood, ATB). DB is always very well-dressed for work, and today was no exception! During our morning team meeting, I spotted a little hint of my favorite pattern peaking out from his pants (this sounded less-creepy in my head). I promised him no face shots, he’s so camera shy!!!

Arglye socks: in detail. (square-toe, v. nice!)

Danny not only has a degree in journalism, he also is a singer and guitar player for L.A. Font. Check them out, check Danny out, and check out his socks!

Bottoms up!

Argyle winery is located in Oregon. All grapes in this winery are hand harvested into small baskets and transported to the winery. Grapes are chilled overnight to 35F before crushing the next day. Argyle was named “Oregon’s Premier Winery” by Wine Spectator in 2000.

I’ve never had Argyle wine, but I do have a cork that Joyce brought me from Seattle. Thanks, Joyce!

Not only is argyle an accomplished pattern, it is an award-winning wine!

Cheers!

Sabre-gyle

It’s hard being apart from Kenny, but one way we hang out is by video chatting and as of late, watching online movies and television shows together. While catching up on The Office, we watched the episode “Sabre.” In the opening scene, Andy Bernard (played by Ed Helms) sings a parody of Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA.” In doing so, Andy Bernard sports an argyle sweater!

My goal is to update this blog more often. It has such a fun concept, I refuse to let it die!

L.Argyle

I'm in Blue Springs right now, but am leaving for LA in a few hours. I know I haven't been posting, but a New Year's Resolution is to be better about blogging. My first sighting of argyle in LA was at the post office on 6th and Spring. Check this out:

I know that the socks couldn't be the ONLY thing I talk about in regards to her outfit, but I mean...this blog is pattern-specific.

Mad About Argyle

After a two month hiatus...

I'm ba-ack.

What's been new? Moved back to Blue Springs, moving to LA tomorrow. I know, it's crazy. But this isn't a travel-blog, this is an argyle blog! I have a lot of catching up to do, I KNOW.

Before I pass judgment on things that seem to be really popular nowadays (i.e. Twilight, other vampire-related things, Family Guy, Dane Cook, etc.), I usually give it a pretty decent try before I decide to hate on it. So yes, I've watched and read Twilight, I've watched a few episodes of Family Guy and I've listened to Dane Cook's CD. I've even been known to give full seasons of television shows a chance: like Heroes (eh) and I even watched an episode of some tv show with Kenny and Ben (I forgot what it was called, but I would really like that 50 minutes back).

Everyone has been going on and on and ON about Mad Men. Basically it's about Sterling Cooper, an ad agency on NYC's Madison Ave. It's centered around Don Draper, the CD, and it's set in my favorite time period for entertainment: the 60s (sigh, I miss American Dreams). I've been watching 3-4 episodes a night before going to bed and I took a screen cap recently:

These wonderful yellow, blue with white accented argyle is worn by Bertram Cooper (Robert Morse). Background: he's pretty into Japanese culture and refuses to let anyone wear shoes in his office, hence the socks.

So there you have it! I hope this holds you over until my next update (coming soon, promise).

The Semple Life

OMG.

I have been MIA for over a month. My apologies, my faithful readers.
For my big comeback, I am displaying (for all the world to see) a fellow blogger, viscommie and good buddy of mine, Erin Semple:

Here she is, sporting well...argyle (duh, the objective of this blog). Isn't she darling? She also resembles Keri Russell (Erin is cuter, btw). Erin and I met through Amanda Senn (another fellow viscommie). Erin and Amanda play golf together. If you recall, I posted a blogyle entry about Justin Timberlake, argyle and a golf magazine. It all comes full circle!!

I hope this update was sufficient, I've got a few more posts up my sleeve so keep a look-out!

Argyle always,

Jessica
